QUARTER EuroQCI Leads European Quantum-Secure Narrative at GITEX Europe 2025

Published on 20 May, 2025

QUARTER EuroQCI showcased its leadership at GITEX Europe 2025, where partner LuxQuanta presented key QKD advancements and earned Europe’s top deep-tech startup award, reinforcing the continent’s momentum toward quantum-secure infrastructure.

In May 2025, the inaugural edition of GITEX Europe 2025 happened at Messe Berlin from 21-23 May, bringing together the most dynamic mix of startups, scale-ups, and established technology companies committed to Europe’s digital transformation.

As Europe’s premier tech and startup showcase, it gathered more than 1,500 startups and 2,500 exhibitors from 100+ countries.

Harnessing strategic ecosystem momentum with LuxQuanta at Berlin’s premier tech summit

As one of the flagship initiatives driving Europe’s quantum communications ecosystem, QUARTER EuroQCI leveraged this strategic platform to reinforce our leadership in delivering quantum-secure infrastructure.

For QUARTER EuroQCI, which focuses on accelerating European quantum key distribution deployment across telecom and critical infrastructure domains, the Berlin gathering provided a stage to showcase progress and collaboration.

LuxQuanta as QUARTER’s Leader in Berlin

LuxQuanta, leader of QUARTER Consortium, proudly exhibited at GITEX Europe 2025 (Berlin, 21-23 May), where they showcased the latest advances in Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), driven by QUARTER.

LuxQuanta CEO Vanesa Diaz delivered a stage presentation on how LuxQuanta’s CV-QKD system has improved, going from low TRL to a commercial-ready product, thanks mainly to hashtagQUARTEREuroQCI funds and collaboration.

The participation and recognition of LuxQuanta, under the umbrella of QUARTER EuroQCI, send several powerful signals:

  • Europe is moving from concept to deployment. QKD solutions are not just research prototypes, but commercially viable tools ready for industrial roll-out.

  • Visibility matters: Showcasing at a key European event builds credibility with telecom operators, network integrators, regulators, and investors alike.

  • Ecosystem momentum: Collaboration between QUARTER partners and external stakeholders advances Europe’s aim for sovereign, secure quantum communications infrastructure.

  • Strategic acceleration: The recognition supports funding, partnerships and deployment trajectories for project partners and the broader QUARTER community.

Looking Ahead

Within the QUARTER EuroQCI framework, the next steps are clear:

Scale the pilot deployments of QKD systems and related technologies involved in QUARTER Consortium in sector-relevant infrastructures (telecom, government networks, critical services).

Increase stakeholder engagement across Europe: policymakers, network operators and large enterprises must be aligned with the quantum-secure vision.

Leverage momentum from GITEX to mobilise the ecosystem: new partnerships, pilot trials, investment rounds and cross-industry collaborations.

Showcase results transparently: track TRL progress, deployment milestones and ecosystem impact as part of QUARTER’s reporting and communication channels.
