In March 2025, the Optical Fiber Communication Conference (OFC), one of the world’s leading events for telecom and networking innovation, was held in San Francisco. Members of the QUARTER EuroQCI consortium took part in the event to demonstrate how European quantum communication technologies are rapidly maturing and ready for integration into global network infrastructures.
As project coordinator, LuxQuanta participated in the Quantum-Safe Network (QSN) live demonstration in collaboration with Nokia, presenting the second generation of its NOVA LQ® Continuous Variable QKD system. This setup showcased multi-vendor interoperability, with LuxQuanta’s system working alongside solutions from other leading QKD providers. The demonstration proved that quantum-secure key distribution can coexist with classical infrastructure and be integrated seamlessly across diverse platforms.
In parallel, Quside engaged in high-level conversations with industry leaders, partners, and global stakeholders. Representing QUARTER’s broader mission, Quside advanced discussions on the role of quantum entropy as a foundational element in securing next-generation communication networks. These meetings further strengthened strategic partnerships aimed at scaling quantum-ready security architectures.
The participation of QUARTER at OFC 2025 highlights the consortium’s commitment to interoperability, industrial collaboration, and real-world deployment. It also demonstrates how European-developed technologies are contributing to a global effort to secure digital infrastructure in the face of emerging quantum threats.
As the quantum communications industry continues to gain traction, QUARTER stands at the forefront, ensuring that Europe’s innovations are not only visible but also shaping standards and deployments worldwide.
